Benjamin Ayers Obituary

Benjamin "J.T." Ayers, age 70, of Flowery Branch, GA, passed away on Tuesday, August 13, 2024. He was preceded in death by his wife, Charlotte McDaniel Ayers; parents, Levi and Alma Ayers; step-daughter, Debbie McDaniel; brothers, Donald, Henry, Frank, Coy, Alvin and David Ayers. Mr. Ayers is survived by his children, Lisa Ayers of Toccoa, GA, Patty (Kevin) Brock of Cornelia, GA, Steve (Mandy) Ayers of Royston, GA; grandchildren, Brantley Ayers, Corda Wright, Joshua Brock, Brittany Brock; sisters, Claudine Lewallen of Lula, GA, Leola Edwards of Gainesville, GA; brother, Doug (Brenda) Ayers of Alto, GA; step-grandchildren, Bambi and Jason Loggins; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Mr. Ayers was born on June 20, 1954 in Commerce, GA. He received his education in the Banks County School System and was a poultry worker. A funeral Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 22, 2024 in the chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home with Pastor Jeffery Ayers officiating. Interment will follow the service at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church Cemetery (2405 GA-51, Lula, GA 30554). The family will receive friends prior to the service from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Flanigan Funeral Home.
