My Dad and I went on the first Holts Battlefield Tour in 1977 (they called us "The Brace") to the Ypres Salient, the Somme, Pegasus Bridge and the Normandy Beaches. A four day fabulously interesting trip all for £100!!
We were hooked and went on some thirty odd trips with them,
Tonie and and his wife Valmai were truly a charming and generous spirited couple, their tours so professional. Unforgettable times!
Tonie was a charming, inspirational gentleman, I liked him very much. My sincerest condolences to dear Valmai

I remember Major Tonie working out in the in St Margarets leisure centre gymnasium on may occasions in the past
a quiet unassuming man who was down to earth and engaging.
