Coming from Desl myself I grew up knowing John. From taxis and the fishing boats. We then we´re on crew at different times together. Gave me a lift to work as I remember. A gentleman

A great friend of over 70 years.We first went to Canada Road Primary School together in 1952.He was best man at my wedding and even after I moved to New Zealand in 1974 we have always kept in contact.A great guy who I am going to miss so much.

Know as Jonhny boy.He told me the funniest story of working for a funeral directors coming back from a funeral they saw a car come off the road.Stopping there empty hurse they ran to the vehicle .The man was conscious but after seeing the men in funeral dress asked"Am I dead"One of the funniest story's he told me.
