Ann Craig Obituary

Ann Stivers Craig 1939 – 2026
Ann Stivers Craig, passed away January 13, 2026, with family by her side. She was born in Hardinsburg, KY to Joseph and Lillis (Henning) Wethington and was the first of twelve children. She attended St. Romuald Catholic School and moved to Louisville to seek job opportunities. Ann retired from the Kentucky department for employment services.
Ann was a devout Catholic and member of St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church for nearly sixty years. She served as president of the church's senior group, "Keenagers," and loved planning events and trips and being with dear friends.
Ann met the love of her life, Delson Craig, through the senior group and they were married 13 wonderful years. Delson completed Ann in so many ways, and he is a treasured part of the family. As a couple, Ann and Delson were simply endearing.
Ann lived life to the fullest. She loved travel, music, attending live performances, and always wanted to experience new things. She loved all of God's colors and you could tell that by the way she dressed and by the many colorful flowers in her gardens.
Her family was her greatest joy. She was blessed with two children and raised them to be strong, independent, and God-fearing. Ann was very close to all her siblings, and they looked to her as a role model. She had 39 nieces and nephews and kept a personal relationship with each of them.
Her favorite role though was being a grandmother. She treasured her time with her grandchildren and loved being their Mama, never failing to cover them in love and prayer.
Ann was preceded in death by her sisters, Lucye Stupak and Pauline Thorn, and her parents Joseph and Lillis Wethington. She is survived by her husband Delson, her daughter Gina McDonald (Mike), son Patrick Stivers (NellieGrace), granddaughters Brittany Snyder, Moira and Olivia Consul-Stivers, siblings Raymond Wethington (Margie), Gerald Wethington (Peggy), Johnny Wethington (Mary), Helen Merrick (Don), Alice Popham, Donny Wethington (Jannette), Larry Wethington, Janice McGraw, and Cathy Franck, and many beloved nieces and nephews.
Visitation is from 3 PM to 7 PM on Friday, January 16, 2026, at Ratterman's Funeral Home East on Shelbyville Road in Middletown. Rosary will be said at 6 PM. Funeral service is on Saturday, January 17, 2026, at 10AM at St. Margaret Mary Church. The burial will follow at Floydsburg Cemetery in Crestwood, KY.
