I knew Jim Flegg over 60 years ago when we both worked at East Malling Research Station. As we both lived in the Medway Towns he gave me a lift to work together with two other people. He was always very kind and helpful I am very sorry to hear of his death

I was saddened to read of Jim´s death.
My husband Michael Hood-Cree, who sadly died on 23.02.23, after a long illness, held him in very high regard. They were the same age and, with ornithology in common, got on very well both professionally and also at a personal level.
A horticulturalist, Michael was involved both with West Malling and the Kent Trust for some years
Sincere condolences to his wife and family.
May his dear soul rest in peace and may light perpetual shine upon him.
