Kelly David T 14/01/2013 A Deal boy, married to Kathy Atkins (Eastry girl) for 58 years. Served in the RN for 28 years. Beloved father to Kevin, Gary, and Sharon, gramps to Sian, Maria, Elizabeth, and Pamela. Brother to Laurie and Leslie. Died at his home in Spain from Waldenstroms, age 81 years. Body donated to medical science. For what is it to die? But stand naked in the wind, and melt into the sun; When the earth claims your limbs then shall you truly dance.

A really good bloke!

Dave was my boss when we served together in HMS Bacchante (1973-74). We worked together on the ship's sonar systems and got on really well, even though I was a Tiff, and he was - in tiffy terms, an ex-milk churn (a rude reference to the square rigged sailor's hat - we wore fore and aft rig). He was a smashing man; always calm, keen on sun, large ice creams and cricket, and he brought my birthday presents from the UK to the ship (we were in Curacao) in 1974!
