MANNINGTON Dorothy aged 90 years In hospital on March 2, 2010 Mother of Michael, Richard, John and the late Jane. Grandmother and great-grandmother. Funeral service at St Michael and All Angels Church, Marden on Thursday March 18, 2010 at 11am. Family flowers only please. Our condolences

Hi there, so sorry to hear of Mrs Mannington's passing away. We have fond memories of her visiting us here in NZ. We had a lovely day out in Rotorua & I have a lovely photo of her feeding the swans at the lake there. She bought us a chilly bin & we still have it... it gets used for fish bait these days as it is a bit battered at almost 30 years old! We also have fond memories of our time working at the conifer nursery & picking apples in the orchard at Marden & how on Fridays Dorothy would bring us some lovely fresh bread or other treats from Cranbrook! And talks in the glasshouse with Tom & Dorothy doing the cuttings... & Jim & Gidget & the donuts! And Kevin, & Jock the Scotsman who ran off with our travellers cheques. And living in the caravan with the pipes frozen! Lots of memories. Please pass on our sympathy especially to John & Leslie from Yvonne & Michael Rothery, Kawhia, New Zealand.
